Originally bred for herding and guarding, the Polish Lowland Sheepdog is still an excellent working dog. He is obedient and fearless, good-natured with people and other dogs, but highly protective of his flock. He is intelligent, active, strong, and handsome with his characteristic multicolored shaggy coat. In recent years, he has gained popularity as a companion dog.
