Jake comes to us from southern WV.  He was originally pulled by another rescue.  That rescue could not afford his care (he had been hit by a car), so we stepped in to take care of Jake.  He's healing after surgery, and doing quite well, and will be just fine!  He is mild-mannered, well behaved, and is quite a loving little dog.  He will make a fantastic family member!  He's full of personality, and during his hospitalization, the entire vet staff just raved over what a good boy he was, despite being in a tough situation. He can be with other dogs with the right introduction and time but would prefer to be an only dog (Cats are fine).   Jake would like a quiet, calm home.  Older, mature children are fine.  He needs people who will appreciate him for the sensitive, loving dog that he is. He wants to please.  He wants a warm lap, a blanket, and love.
